Hazel Marie Mills, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, December 10, 2007 peacefully at Community Hospital East. She was born in Bristow, IN to the late James and Bessie Mills on February 5, 1919. She worked as a group leader for 38 years at RCA before retiring and was a member of the Castleview Baptist Church.She is survived by her sister, Helen Lindsey; niece, Rhonda Hudson; and nephew, Ricky Carrier. Visitation will be Monday, December 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Harry Moore Family Mortuary, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis. Funeral Service will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor David Loucie officiating. Interment at Bristow Cemetery, Bristow, IN.

My prayers of comfort and grace are with the family and friends of Hazel’s at this time.
I know Hazel from Castleview Baptist and I would sit with her on occassion at church and chat. She would always ask me my name and forget what it was the following Sunday. She was so sweet.
I was looking for her at church last Sunday so as to get her to sit with me up front for the church cantata (Christmas concert). Then I read that she was in hospice. I called the next day hoping to stop by after work but the hospital said she had just died minutes earlier.
Hazel and I will catch up on things and get to know each other better when I join her in Heaven.
